Hey folks, just read that Australian Corporate Jet Centres (ACJC) has expanded at Melbourne Essendon with a new hangar, Hangar 86. This new spot is pretty huge, with almost 1,983 square meters of space. Most of it is taken up by a clear-span hangar that's around 1,393 square meters. Plus, there's a massive hardstand area with direct apron access.
For those who aren't familiar, ACJC also runs Hangar 14 at the same airport, so they're clearly doubling down on their operations there. I guess this expansion's gonna give them more room to handle more jets and maybe even some new business.
Kind of cool to see Essendon getting more attention. Do you guys think this is part of a bigger trend for corporate jet facilities in the area? And with this kind of growth, could we see more business jet traffic at Essendon over the next few years? I know some people prefer the smaller airports because they're less hectic than the big ones. Curious about what you all think!
