Please read these guidelines before submitting photos to ensure quality and compliance
Photo Quality Standards
Technical Requirements
- Minimum resolution: 1024x768 pixels
- Maximum file size: 20MB
- Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG
- Photos should be well-exposed and in focus
- No heavy filters or excessive post-processing
Composition
- Aircraft should be the main subject
- Entire aircraft should be visible (nose to tail preferred)
- Aircraft registration should be clearly readable
- Avoid excessive cropping that removes important details
- Clean background without distracting elements when possible
Content Guidelines
Acceptable Content
- Commercial aircraft (passenger and cargo)
- Private and business jets
- Military aircraft at airshows or public events
- Historic and vintage aircraft
- Special liveries and paint schemes
- Airport ground operations
Not Acceptable
- Blurry or out-of-focus images
- Photos with watermarks from other sites
- Copyrighted images you don't own
- Screenshots or photos of photos
- Inappropriate or offensive content
- Photos taken from unauthorized areas
Accuracy Requirements
Required Information
All submissions must include accurate information about:
- Registration: Aircraft tail number must be correct and clearly visible
- Aircraft Type: Specific variant (e.g., "Boeing 737-800" not just "Boeing 737")
- Airline: Current operator at time of photo
- Airport: Location where photo was taken
Date Information
While optional, including the date the photo was taken helps maintain a historical record. Please be as accurate as possible.
Copyright & Ownership
You Must Own the Rights
You may only upload photos that you personally took or for which you have explicit permission from the copyright holder. Uploading photos you don't own is a violation of copyright law and our terms of service.
Automatic Watermarking
All photos uploaded to AirlinePics.com are automatically watermarked with:
- The site name (AirlinePics.com)
- Your full name as the copyright holder
This watermark protects your work and ensures proper attribution.
License
By uploading photos, you grant AirlinePics.com a non-exclusive license to display your photos on our platform. You retain all ownership rights to your work.
Community Standards

Moderation Process
Review Timeline
All uploaded photos are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email notification when your photo is approved or if action is needed.
Rejection Reasons
Photos may be rejected for:
- Poor image quality (blurry, heavily pixelated)
- Incorrect or missing information
- Duplicate submission
- Copyright concerns
- Violation of content guidelines
