Spotting at Frankfurt (FRA) - Tips for Dealing with Glass Reflection?

Started by Edward757 1 days ago 2 replies 23 views
Hey folks, I've been trying to get some decent shots at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), but I'm having a bit of trouble with reflections when shooting through glass. A lot of the good spots seem to be behind glass panels, and I'm not sure how to minimize those pesky reflections. I've tried using a lens hood and getting as close to the glass as possible, but it doesn't always do the trick.

Anybody got tips or tricks for dealing with this? Maybe a specific filter or setting that works well? Also, if you've got other tips for shooting at FRA, I'd love to hear them. It's a busy airport with lots of action, so getting this right would be awesome!
Polarizing filter might help reduce those reflections. It won't eliminate them completely, but it can make a big difference. Also, try wearing dark clothing to avoid reflecting yourself. If the light's coming from behind you, maybe throw a black cloth over your head and camera to block reflections. I know some folks even carry a rubber lens hood that can press right against the glass. Those glass panels can be a pain, but with some trial and error, you'll get some great shots! Have you tried shooting at different times of the day? Sometimes the angle of the sun can help.
