Hey everyone, just saw some numbers on Boeing's new orders for May 2026. They snagged 11 net new orders, which isn't too shabby. The orders are a mix of two B737 MAX for some mystery customer, a single 737 MAX for TUI Travel, and a big batch of ten B787-9s for Lufthansa. Oh, and 14 B737-800(ER)/P-8 Poseidons for another unnamed buyer. So, quite a spread there!
On the downside, Air Europa decided to cancel one of their 737 MAX orders from way back in 2015. Kinda makes you wonder what's going on there.
I'm curious about the P-8 Poseidons order. They're more of a military aircraft, right? Wonder who the buyer is and what they plan to do with them. Also, it's interesting to see Lufthansa investing heavily in Dreamliners. Do you guys think they're shifting focus to more long-haul routes? Or maybe replacing older aircraft?
Anyway, what's your take on these orders? Think Boeing is doing well this year? It's always interesting to see how these numbers shake out over time.
