Best Spotting Locations at LAX - Share Your Tips!

Hey fellow spotters! I'm planning a trip to Los Angeles and can't wait to do some spotting at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). With its diverse range of aircraft and airlines, I'm sure it's going to be an exciting experience.

I've heard that the In-N-Out Burger on Sepulveda Boulevard is a popular spot for watching arrivals on runway 24R, but I'm curious about other locations around the airport. Are there any lesser-known spots that offer great views or angles? I'm particularly interested in capturing some unique shots of the heavies like the A380s and 747s as well as some of the newer aircraft like the A350 and 787.

Also, any tips on what time of day offers the best lighting conditions for photos would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to bring my Canon EOS R6 with a 100-400mm lens, so I'm hoping to get some crisp shots.

Looking forward to hearing your recommendations and experiences. Thanks in advance for any advice you can share!
In addition to the popular In-N-Out spot, you might want to check out Clutter's Park on Imperial Hill. It offers a great vantage point for spotting aircraft on runways 25L and 25R. This location is especially good for capturing wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747, as they depart or land. For morning shots, the light is softer and more favorable on the 25s. Another good spot is the Proud Bird Restaurant on Aviation Boulevard, which is close to the 25R arrivals. Keep in mind that lighting conditions change throughout the day, so the golden hours (early morning and late afternoon) usually provide the best natural light for aviation photography. Make sure to check the flight schedules for any special arrivals that might be of interest!
