Why are senior pilots choosing UPS over Delta & American?

So, I was reading that a lot of senior pilots are making the jump to UPS instead of sticking with the big names like Delta or American. It seems a bit surprising at first, right? I mean, those legacy carriers have always been the dream for pilots with their prestige and global routes. But now, UPS is getting a lot of attention.

I guess it makes sense when you think about it. Cargo flying at UPS offers some perks that passenger airlines don't. The schedules might be more predictable, and it seems like the pay and benefits are pretty solid too. Plus, flying cargo means no dealing with passenger issues, which might be a big draw.

But it makes me wonder, is this trend here to stay? Are we going to see more pilots making this switch? And what does this mean for the traditional airlines if they're losing seasoned pilots to cargo carriers? Would love to hear what you all think about this shift. Definitely makes sense why some would make the switch. Heard UPS pilots have a more consistent schedule, which is gold for work-life balance. And yeah, dealing with cargo instead of passengers? Less stress, for sure. Also, pay at UPS is competitive, sometimes even better. Wonder if this trend will push the big airlines to improve conditions to retain their experienced crew.
