Aer Lingus Thinking of Cutting US Routes? What's Next?

Started by AVFan367 1 months ago 1 replies 70 views
So I just read that Aer Lingus might be looking to cut some of their US routes. Apparently, they're feeling the financial heat and might need to scale back a bit. This isn't totally out of the blue since their parent company, IAG, has been pushing them to hit some tough profitability targets.

No specific routes have been mentioned yet, but it seems like they've been expanding a lot in the US recently. I wonder if that growth was a bit too fast or if the market just isn't there like they hoped.

It's kind of a bummer if they do end up pulling back because I think their presence in the US has made things more competitive and interesting. Plus, more options is always a good thing for travelers, right?

Curious what you all think... Do you think they'll actually cut some of the newer routes? And how do you think this will affect their standing in the US market overall? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
