So, I was reading about Southwest Airlines the other day, and it got me thinking about their massive love affair with the 737 MAX. They've got a huge fleet plan that's pretty much all 737s, especially the MAX 7 and MAX 8. I guess it makes sense since they've been an all-737 airline forever, but I wonder if they're putting too many eggs in one basket?
The MAX has had its ups and downs, as we all know, but Southwest seems all in. They've even deferred some of their MAX 7 orders to later years. I'm curious if they ever consider diversifying a bit more, or if sticking with a single type is really their secret sauce for keeping costs down.
What do you guys think? Does it make sense for them to keep betting on the 737 MAX, or should they look at mixing it up with something else? Would love to hear your thoughts on their strategy!
