So, Eurostar is planning to run direct trains from London to Antwerp starting December 2026. Pretty awesome for folks who hate that Brussels transfer. It'll cut the journey down to just 2 hours and 41 minutes. Sounds like a game-changer for European travel.
I think it's interesting how they're using the London-Amsterdam trains for this. Four times a day too! Wonder how that's going to affect the overall traffic on the London-Amsterdam route.
Also, kinda curious how this might impact short-haul flights between the UK and Belgium. Anyone think this could be a big shift towards more train travel instead of flying? I know the whole Eurostar experience is pretty smooth, but will it be enough to lure people away from the convenience of flights?
