Yikes! Close Call at BOS - Controller's Big Oopsie

So, just saw the NTSB's report on that near-miss at Boston Logan last month. Apparently, an air traffic controller cleared an American 737 for takeoff while a Delta A319 was landing! Talk about a close shave. Can you imagine the chaos?

The controller just forgot they'd given the takeoff clearance. That's a pretty big mistake, especially at a busy airport like BOS. Makes you wonder about the pressure those controllers are under. I mean, I know it's a tough job, but this could've gone so wrong. Kudos to the Delta pilot for avoiding a disaster!

It's kinda scary to think that a simple slip-up like this could have such serious consequences. I guess it highlights how crucial communication is in aviation. Wonder if they'll change any procedures after this?

Anyone else have thoughts on how they could prevent these kinds of mistakes? And, do you think this incident might lead to stricter regulations or more automation in air traffic control? Would love to hear what you guys think about it!
