So Qantas just finalized their order for the A350-1000s. They're planning to use them for those ultra-long-haul 'Project Sunrise' flights. We're talking Sydney to London non-stop. That's a crazy long flight, about 20 hours! Can't even imagine being in the air for that long.
Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that they chose the A350-1000 for this. It's supposed to be super efficient and comfy for passengers, but I wonder how it stacks up against the 777X, which was also in the running. Anyone else think the A350 was the right choice?
Also, how do you guys feel about these ultra-long-haul flights in general? A blessing for skipping layovers or just too much time in the air? Curious to hear what others think about this big move by Qantas!
