Oops! Delta and Frontier Planes Bump at Charlotte

Started by AVGuy388 1 months ago 1 replies 68 views
So, just saw this - a Delta CRJ-900 and a Frontier A320neo bumped into each other during pushback at Charlotte Airport. Not something you hear every day. Both flights got canceled, Delta was headed to LaGuardia and Frontier to Houston. Luckily, no one got hurt, but I hear both planes have some damage.

I guess they'll be out of service for a bit while they check things out. Makes you wonder how something like this happens. Is it just bad luck or maybe a communication issue on the ground?

I wonder how often these ground collisions actually happen. Anyone got insights on that? And what do you think this means for the airlines - do they usually end up paying a lot in repairs and downtime?

Kinda crazy to think how busy airports can be, and then something like this happens. Hope they figure it out and get everything back to normal soon!
