So, Qantas is pulling the A380 from the Melbourne to LAX route. They're swapping it for the Boeing 787-9 starting this October. Honestly, mixed feelings about this. I mean, the A380 is such an icon, especially for long-haul flights. Love that double-decker vibe - feels like a flying hotel. But I guess the 787-9 is more efficient and all, so maybe that makes sense from a business perspective.
They'll still fly the A380 to Singapore and London, but I'm gonna miss seeing it on the MEL-LAX route. The Dreamliner is cool too, with those big windows and all, but it just doesn't have the same presence, you know?
