Finding AA Award Availability to Japan - Any Tips?

Hey folks, I'm trying to plan a trip to Japan next spring and want to use my AAdvantage miles. I've been hunting for award availability in business class but not having much luck. I've heard JAL has some options, but every time I check, it seems like nothing's open.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for finding better availability? I've got a bunch of miles saved up and really want to make this work. Should I be checking at specific times of the day, or maybe there's a better way to search? Also, if anyone knows if there's a sweet spot for booking with AA miles to Japan, I'd love to hear it.
