Best Use of Chase Ultimate Rewards on Emirates First Class?

So I've been hoarding my Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a while now, and I'm thinking about burning them on something special. I've heard a lot about Emirates First Class and that whole shower in the sky thing-sounds pretty awesome. But I'm a bit confused about how to actually use my points for that.

I know Chase points transfer to Emirates Skywards, but the rates seem a bit steep. Has anyone here managed to snag a good deal on Emirates First using Chase points? Any tips on when award availability is best or if there are specific routes where it's easier to find seats? I'm open to any advice or experiences you guys have had.
