Emirates A380: 10 Hours Stuck on the Tarmac in China

So, I just read about this Emirates A380 flight that got diverted to Hangzhou instead of landing in Shanghai due to bad weather. They had to stay on the plane for over 10 hours, and apparently, the air conditioning wasn't working the whole time. That's gotta be rough, especially on an A380 packed with 373 people.

I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must've been. Being stuck on a plane is bad enough, but without AC? Yikes. I wonder how the airline handled the situation. Did they offer any compensation or at least something to make folks a bit more comfortable?

Honestly, you'd think there'd be some sort of backup plan for situations like this. I mean, 10 hours is a long time to be stuck inside a plane. Maybe they could've let passengers off for a bit to stretch their legs or something?
