What's the deal with Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan stopovers?

Started by AviationPHL8 1 months ago 1 replies 45 views
I've heard a lot about Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan allowing free stopovers even on one-way awards, and I'm curious if anyone's tried it recently. I was thinking of booking a trip from the West Coast to Asia and maybe sneaking in a stopover in Hawaii or Japan. Seems like a great way to see two places on one ticket, but I'm not sure about the availability or if there are any hidden catches. Anyone have experience with this? Are there extra fees or specific routes where this works best? Also, how does it stack up against other programs like American's AAdvantage or Delta SkyMiles? Any tips or tricks would be awesome!
