So I've been thinking about trying to get MVP Gold with Alaska Airlines this year. I've been flying with them a bit more, and I do like their service. But I'm not sure if it's really worth it to push for the Gold status.
I know you get the upgraded seats, free checked bags, and some bonus miles, but I'm wondering if anyone here has actually found it worth the effort and cost? I've got a couple of trips planned to the West Coast this year, so I could make it work, but it's a bit of a stretch.
Also, does anyone know if the perks are actually useful when flying with their partners like American or British Airways? I don't want to invest all this effort and then find the benefits don't really apply when I need them. Would love to hear your experiences or any tips you might have!
