Hey everyone, just saw this and had to share! Alaska Airlines is adding nonstop flights from Seattle to both Athens and Paris starting in May 2027. They're using the 787-9 Dreamliners for these routes. The Seattle-Athens flight is set to be their longest one yet, running three times a week until October.
I think it's pretty cool that Alaska's expanding their intercontinental routes. They seem like they're really upping their game. Seattle to Athens sounds like a sweet trip, especially since it's not a usual route you'd expect from Alaska Airlines.
Do you guys think this could shake things up a bit for other airlines flying out of Seattle? Also, curious if anyone's planning a trip to Europe that summer and might take advantage of this? I'd love to hear what you all think about Alaska making these big moves!
