Marine One's Close Call Near DCA - Construction to Blame?

So I just read that there was a bit of a close call with Marine One and an Envoy Air jet near DCA back in August. Apparently, the construction of a new ballroom at the White House might've played a part in it. The NTSB's preliminary report says that the work meant Marine One had to change up its usual operations.

It's kinda wild to think that something like construction could lead to a loss-of-separation incident. Makes you wonder how often stuff like this happens but doesn't make the news, right? I mean, air traffic around the DC area is already pretty tight, and then you add in presidential movements... it must be a headache for ATC.

Not sure how they solve these kinds of issues, but I guess it's all about coordination and communication. Anyone know more about how they handle flight paths in restricted areas like DC? And are there any permanent solutions they might be considering to avoid these close calls in the future? Seems like a tricky situation all around.
Yeah, DC airspace is a whole different beast. Construction like that definitely adds a layer of complexity. I remember reading that any changes in the White House can shift how Marine One operates. Yeah, that airspace is already super challenging. Anytime there's a change at the White House, it must make things even crazier for ATC. I remember hearing about how they have to constantly adjust flight paths when there's VIP movement. Not sure on the specifics, but I think they use special procedures and coordination with military and Secret Service. Permanent solutions? Probably tough with all the variables, but maybe more tech upgrades or better predictive systems could help. Anyone know if they use something like that already?
