Southwest Finally Joining the Lounge Club by 2027!

So, looks like Southwest is finally jumping on the airport lounge bandwagon. They've been doing things their own way for ages, and honestly, I kinda liked that about them. No lounges, just straightforward flying. Now, they're planning to open lounges at Austin and Nashville airports by 2027.

I've always associated Southwest with budget-friendly flying and no-frills service, so I'm curious how these lounges will fit into their overall vibe. Are they going to go all out with fancy amenities or keep things simple like their flights? And who'll get access-will it be for everyone or just certain ticket holders or rewards members?

It does seem like a smart move, though. More and more travelers are expecting lounges, especially if they're stuck during delays. But I wonder if this means ticket prices might creep up.

What do you all think? Is this a good move for Southwest, or are they losing a bit of their unique charm? And if you've been to Austin or Nashville airports, do you think they're good picks for the first lounges?
