TAP Portugal's Stake Sale - What's Next?

Started by PatrickCLT13 1 weeks ago 1 replies 57 views
So, it looks like Portugal is moving ahead with selling a stake in TAP Air Portugal. Can't read the full article since it's behind a paywall, but this could mean some big changes for the airline. From what I gather, the Portuguese government has been looking to privatize TAP for a while now. Guess they're finally making some progress.

Honestly, I'm curious how this will impact TAP's operations. Will we see more investment in their fleet or maybe some new routes? I know they've had their ups and downs financially, so maybe this is a good move?

Also, who do you think might be interested in buying a stake? There are always rumors about airlines like Lufthansa or IAG wanting to expand their reach. Not sure if they'd bite, but it would be interesting to see who steps up.

What do you guys think? Is privatizing TAP the right move, or should they have looked at other ways to boost their situation? And who would you want to see buying in? Let's hear your thoughts!
