Fly91's Big Move: 40 New ATR72-600s Ordered!

So, I just read that Fly91 from India is making a pretty bold move by ordering 40 ATR72-600s. That's quite a fleet expansion! ATRs are great for regional routes, and it seems like Fly91 is banking on some serious growth in that sector. I think the ATR72-600 is a solid choice for short-haul flights. It's got good fuel efficiency and can handle those smaller airports that bigger jets can't.

I'm curious about Fly91's strategy here. Are they planning to tap into underserved routes or maybe increase frequency on existing ones? Also, how do you guys feel about the ATR72-600? Personally, I think it's a reliable aircraft, but do you think it can compete with the newer turboprops out there?

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out for Fly91 and if other regional carriers in India start making similar moves. What do you think? Is this the start of a regional aviation boom in India, or are they taking on too much too soon?
