My Airline Salt and Pepper Shaker Collection

Started by NSmith595 6 days ago 2 replies 20 views
So, I've kind of stumbled into this quirky little niche of collecting airline salt and pepper shakers. I picked up my first set on a whim at a garage sale-classic little Delta ones from the 80s-and now I'm hooked. I think they're kinda neat and they don't take up much space, which is a bonus.

I've got about 12 pairs now, ranging from old Pan Am to some newer ones from Lufthansa and Emirates. I love the different designs and logos! Does anyone else collect these? Would love to hear about your collections or any cool finds you've made.

Also, if anyone has tips on good places to find more or if there are any rare ones I should keep an eye out for, I'd appreciate it! Not sure if they're worth much, but I really enjoy the hunt. Plus, they make for fun conversation pieces when people come over. Let me know what you think!
Never thought about collecting those, but now I'm intrigued! I've seen some cool ones on eBay sometimes, especially older ones that pop up every now and then. Might be worth checking out thrift stores or estate sales too. Heard some airlines used to make special designs for first-class passengers, so those could be rare finds. Do you ever use them, or are they just for display?
