Surprising Find: Vintage Airline Safety Pins Collection

Started by LThomas572 4 days ago 1 replies 20 views
So, I was going through some of my granddad's old stuff in the attic and stumbled upon something pretty cool-an entire collection of vintage airline safety pins! There are around 30 of them, mostly from the 1960s and 70s. He's got pins from airlines like Pan Am, TWA, and even some defunct ones like Eastern Airlines. I didn't even know airline safety pins were a thing to collect!

I'm curious-are these common in the aviation memorabilia world? Anyone else out there collecting these? And how do you even display them? They're so small, I'm worried about losing them. I'm thinking maybe a shadow box or something?

Also, any idea how to find out if any of these are rare or particularly valuable? I don't plan to sell them, but it'd be nice to know what they're worth. Really appreciate any tips or advice you all might have!
