Hey folks, did you hear about Zelenskyy's flight getting delayed? He was trying to fly from Chisinau to Oslo, and there was a drone threat in Moldovan airspace. Supposedly, his Airbus A319 (UR-ABA) was almost hit by a drone. Norwegian PM said so at first, but then they walked it back a bit. Crazy stuff.
Makes you wonder how common these drone scares are becoming. I mean, it's not every day you hear about drones delaying a head of state's flight. But with drones becoming more popular, should we be worried about their impact on air travel?
And what about the security measures in place to deal with these drones? Are they enough, or do airports need to step up their game? I guess it's a good reminder of how important airspace security is. Anyway, just thought it was wild how a drone could cause such a big hiccup. What do you guys think about this whole drone situation?
