Bummer: TACS's Last DC-8 Damaged in Kinshasa

So, I just read that Trans Air Cargo Service's last operational aircraft got damaged at N'djili International Airport. It's kind of a big deal 'cause it's one of only two Douglas DC-8-73 jets still flying around. Happened on Sep. 8. Guess it was a runway excursion.

Honestly, it's a bummer for TACS. They were down to just this one aircraft, and now it's out of action. These DC-8s are such classics. I mean, it's amazing that any are still in use at all, right? Not sure if they'll be able to get it up and running again.

Anyone know what this might mean for TACS now? Are they gonna try to repair it or just call it a day? And what's up with the other DC-8 still in operation? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Man, that's rough for TACS. Those DC-8s are like flying time capsules. I think repairing it might be a long shot, but you never know-they might surprise us. If they can't fix it, I'd guess they're gonna have to look into other aircraft options. As for the other DC-8 still flying, I believe it's with NASA for some research missions. Not exactly a cargo plane, but at least it's still in the air. Wonder how TACS will pivot now.
