Displaying Airline Amenity Kits - Ideas?

Started by PHL380Nerd • 1 months ago • 3 replies • 64 views
I've been collecting airline amenity kits for a few years now, and it's starting to get a bit out of hand. I've got everything from those fancy Qatar Airways kits to some vintage Pan Am ones that are probably older than I am. Thing is, they're all stuffed in boxes and drawers, and I feel like they deserve a better display.

Anyone got any cool ideas for how to show these off? I've seen some people use shadow boxes, but I'm not sure how they'd fit different-sized kits. Maybe shelves? Or a cabinet? I'd love to hear how you guys are displaying your stuff. Also, if you've got a unique piece, I'd love to know what it is. We could swap stories about how we found them!
I've seen people use clear acrylic shelves to display collections like that. They let you show off the kits without taking up too much space, and you can arrange them by airline or era. If you're worried about dust, maybe a glass cabinet with adjustable shelves would work. My unique piece is a Concorde kit from the '90s I found at a garage sale. What's your favorite find?
Have you thought about using those picture frame shelves? The ones with a lip to hold stuff in place. They wouldn't take up much wall space, and you could easily rearrange the kits whenever you feel like it. Plus, they're usually deep enough to fit most sizes. I also saw someone use an old suitcase as a display case once-super cool and fits the theme. What's your rarest kit?
