Cayman Private Aviation Bids Farewell to Its Only Jet

So, Cayman Private Aviation is retiring its one and only jet, a Learjet 60XR. Honestly, kind of surprising to hear about an operator retiring their sole aircraft. The Learjet 60XR's been around for a while, serving as a good workhorse for small operators and bizjet travelers. Anyone else think it's interesting that they're not replacing it? Wonder what's next for them. Maybe they're shifting focus or restructuring.

I know the bizjet market has been a bit all over the place lately. Some companies are expanding fleets, while others are scaling back. Could be due to changing demand or financial reasons. It'd be cool to know what their plan is moving forward. Do you guys think we'll see more small operators doing the same, or is this just a one-off situation?

Also, for those more familiar with the Learjet 60XR, any insights on why they might retire it specifically? Is it more about maintenance costs or maybe just moving towards newer models? Curious to hear your thoughts!
Yeah, it's odd they're not replacing it. The Learjet 60XR's a solid jet, but maintenance can get pricey as they age. Maybe they're cutting costs or focusing on a different business model, like chartering externally rather than owning. It's not just them-lots of smaller operators are either consolidating or shifting strategies. The bizjet market's really volatile right now, so it could be part of a bigger trend. I'd love to know if they plan to lease newer models or just exit the market.
