Anyone Shooting at Sydney Airport (SYD) in Rain? Tips Needed!

Started by Daniel1991 • 3 weeks ago • 1 replies • 38 views
So, I'm planning a spotting trip to Sydney Airport (SYD) and it looks like I'll be dealing with some rainy weather. I'm not too experienced with shooting in the rain, so I'm wondering if anyone here has any good tips or advice?

I've got a Canon 90D and usually shoot with a 70-200mm lens. I'm guessing a rain cover for the camera is a must, but what about settings? Is it better to use a faster shutter speed to freeze those raindrops, or go for something slower for some cool motion blur?

Also, any advice on where to spot at SYD when it's raining? I'm thinking of trying out the Shep's Mound area, but open to suggestions if there's a better spot when it's wet.

Thanks in advance for any tips or experiences you can share!
