EasyJet Cuts Another 700k Seats - What's Going On?

Hey everyone, did you hear about easyJet slashing another 700,000 seats from their winter schedule? That's on top of the 600k to 700k they already announced earlier. So we're talking about a pretty big dent in their usual winter capacity, which is around 50 million seats. It's like two full days of flying just wiped out.

I'm curious what's driving these cuts. Are they expecting lower demand, or is it something to do with crew shortages or maybe fuel costs? I know airlines have been struggling to keep up with everything post-COVID, but this seems pretty drastic.

Do you think this will affect ticket prices? I mean, less capacity could lead to higher prices, right? Also, wonder how this will impact other airlines - will they fill the gap or face similar issues?

Honestly, I'm just trying to get my head around why easyJet would make such deep cuts. Anyone got any insights or heard anything else about what's going on here? Let's talk about it!
