Delta's Love Affair With The A330 - Who Knew?

So, I was just thinking about how Delta Air Lines has really embraced the Airbus A330. I mean, they're now the largest operator of this aircraft in the world. That's pretty wild if you consider that they used to be all about the Boeing 767s and even the old TriStars back in the day.

I guess the A330 really fits their needs well, especially with international routes and the range it offers. It's funny how sometimes airlines end up with a fleet that turns out to be a perfect match, even if they didn't plan it that way initially. I bet the mix of efficiency and capacity is a big win for them.

But it makes you wonder, with more A330s still on order, what's Delta's long-term plan here? Are they gradually phasing out the 767s, or are those going to stick around for certain routes? And what about the A350s they have? I haven't heard much about them lately. Anyway, curious to see how this plays out. What do you all think? Is Delta making the right move focusing so much on the A330?
Yeah, it's interesting how Delta's pivoted towards the A330. Makes sense though, given its versatility on those long-haul routes. The A330neo's fuel efficiency probably helps their bottom line too. As for the 767s, I think they're slowly retiring them but keeping some for domestic routes, where range isn't a big issue. The A350s seem pretty under the radar, but with the A330s handling a lot, maybe they're just using A350s selectively. Wonder if we'll see a bigger role for them soon.
I think Delta's move to the A330 makes a lot of sense, especially since it offers a good balance between capacity and range for their routes. The 767s might stick around for a bit longer, but they're definitely getting up there in age. As for the A350s, I've heard they're mostly for longer, high-demand routes, but it does feel like the A330 is becoming the backbone of their fleet. Curious if they'll shift more to the A330neo or keep a mixed fleet strategy going forward.
I think Delta's love for the A330 makes a lot of sense. It's got a great range and works well for those transatlantic routes. I heard they're phasing out the older 767s, which seems logical. But I'm curious about the A350s too. They've got some, but they're kinda silent about them. Maybe they're reserving those for specific routes? Or waiting for the right time to expand them in their fleet?
