Turkish Airlines to Retire Their Last A340-300 Soon?

Hey everyone, I heard a rumor that Turkish Airlines might be retiring their last Airbus A340-300 soon. These beauties have been part of their fleet for a while, and honestly, I'll miss seeing them around. They've been flying since the late '90s, so I guess it's about time.

From what I gathered, they might phase them out by the end of the year, making room for more fuel-efficient planes like the A350 or 787. I get that newer planes are more cost-effective and environmentally friendly, but there's something so nostalgic about the A340s.

Anybody got more details on this? Maybe a specific date or if there's a farewell flight planned? Would love to see one last takeoff if possible. Also, what do you think about the impact on their long-haul routes? Are they planning to introduce new destinations with the updated fleet? Let me know your thoughts!
Yeah, it seems like Turkish Airlines is moving on from the A340s. I remember flying on one of those back in the day, tons of legroom! But with the A350s and 787s being more efficient, it makes sense. No official farewell flight announcement yet, but they might do something special. As for new routes, I heard they're eyeing expansion into South America and Africa. Anyone else heard about new destinations?
I think they're set to retire them by the end of the year, but I haven't heard of a specific farewell flight yet. Would be cool if they did one. I always loved the four-engine look of the A340s, but yeah, gotta move on with the more efficient models. I wonder if they'll use the new planes to expand into new markets or just beef up existing routes. Anyone know if there's a list of potential new destinations?
