Where's the Cleanest Seat on a Plane? Here's What Crew Say!

So, I just read that the middle of the plane might actually be cleaner than the front or back. Surprised? I was too! It makes sense though-people usually board at the front and head to the back for the lavatories, so the middle gets less foot traffic. Plus, the galleys get wiped down a lot since that's where food and drinks are handled. Makes me wonder, though, how much this varies by airline or even flight length.

And, did you know the air we breathe on planes is a mix of fresh and filtered? Apparently, it helps with airborne germs, but still gotta be careful if the person next to you is sick. I always bring wipes for the tray table and armrests, just in case.

What do you guys think? Do you have any tricks for staying germ-free on flights? And would you choose a seat in the middle now knowing this?
