Hey everyone, just saw that there are still 7 airlines planning to fly the Boeing 777-200ER in 2026. Kinda wild, right? I mean, with all the buzz around the 787s and A350s, you'd think these older models would be on their way out, but I guess not. The 777-200ER has definitely been a workhorse for a lot of these carriers, especially for long-haul routes.
I think it's pretty cool that some airlines are still sticking with them. Probably because they're super reliable and have proven themselves over the years. Plus, it must be a balancing act with economic pressures and maintenance costs. These planes have been around for a while, so I'm guessing they've got a good handle on the upkeep by now.
Curious to know which airlines are part of this group. Anyone got a list or know more details? Also, do you think these airlines will eventually move on to newer models, or will they keep these birds flying as long as possible? Looking forward to hearing what you all think!
