Yikes! United Flight Hits Rough Turbulence, Injures Crew

Started by LensArrival18 • 5 days ago • 1 replies • 38 views
So, I just read that a United flight from Honolulu to LA hit some nasty turbulence during its descent. Four flight attendants were injured, which really sucks. Luckily, it sounds like all the passengers were okay. The plane landed safely, so there's that. But man, turbulence like that has to be terrifying, especially for the crew who are up and about.

I've always wondered, how do airlines decide when to have the crew sit down during turbulence? Is it just based on pilot judgment or are there specific thresholds?

Also, I've noticed turbulence seems to be happening more frequently these days. Maybe I'm just paying more attention? But are there actually more incidents now, or is it just that we're hearing about them more because of social media and stuff?

Anyway, glad everyone made it down safely though! What do you guys think? Have you ever been on a flight with turbulence that bad? Would love to hear your stories!
