BA's New Colombo Route and Melbourne's Return - Thoughts?

So, British Airways is shaking things up this winter! They've just started a new route from Gatwick to Colombo, flying three times a week. Kinda cool to see them tapping into the Indian Ocean market from Gatwick. It's got that leisure vibe but also some premium demand, which makes sense for BA. Plus, they've teamed up with Hoppers for some Sri Lankan-inspired meals. Anyone tried it yet?

And then there's Melbourne! They're extending the Kuala Lumpur flight to get there starting in January. It's not a direct flight from Heathrow, but it's a smart way to test the waters without going all-in on a nonstop. Using the 787-9 with all four classes should keep a good mix of travelers happy. Wonder how it'll work out with the stop in Kuala Lumpur though.

Also noticed they're ramping up flights to places like Bridgetown, Tokyo, and Cape Town this winter. It looks like BA's really trying to balance leisure and business in their schedules. What do you guys think about their strategy? Will the Colombo route stick around after the winter season? And is Melbourne going to be a hit after they launch it? Would love to hear your thoughts!
