Hey fellow aviation photographers! I've recently been trying my hand at night photography at my local airport, LAX, and I'm looking for some advice to improve my shots. I'm currently using a Canon R5 with a 24-105mm f/4L lens. While it's great for daytime, I'm struggling a bit with capturing sharp, well-exposed images at night.
I've been experimenting with different ISO settings, but I'm not sure if I'm pushing it too high and losing quality. Also, I often end up with either blurry shots or ones that are too dark. Does anyone have experience with this camera in low-light conditions? What settings do you find work best for night shots?
Additionally, I'm considering adding a Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens to my kit for better reach and performance in low light. Does anyone have experience with this lens for night aviation photography? Would love to hear your thoughts on whether it's a worthwhile investment.
Looking forward to hearing your tips and tricks, and maybe some gear recommendations for those perfect night captures!
