I'm planning a trip to Asia next year and looking into using my British Airways Executive Club Avios for a business class redemption. I've been saving up for a while and I want to make sure I get the best value out of my points.
I've heard there are some great sweet spots when using Avios, especially with partner airlines like Cathay Pacific or Japan Airlines. I'm based in New York (JFK) but I'm flexible with departure points if it results in a better redemption.
Does anyone have recent experience with booking business class flights to Asia using Avios? Any specific routes that offer great availability or lower taxes and fees? Also, any tips on the best times to search for availability or alternative airports I should consider?
Additionally, if anyone has insights on the lounge experiences at some of these Asian airports, that would be a bonus.
