Why Are New Pilots Training on Old Planes?

So, I was thinking about why pilots still train on older aircraft systems when we've got all these fancy 4K displays and fly-by-wire tech in modern cockpits. Seems a bit backward, right? But I guess there's a good reason behind it. The aviation industry is pretty worried about pilots becoming too dependent on automation. Makes sense when you think about it - if something goes wrong with the tech, pilots need to have those core flying skills to take over.

Training on older aircraft probably gives them a better feel for the mechanics and fundamentals of flying. It's like learning to drive stick shift before an automatic. I think it's kinda cool that they keep that tradition alive, but also a bit surprising given how much tech has advanced.

Do you guys think this kind of training is really necessary, or should they be focusing more on modern systems from the get-go? Also, how do you think this approach impacts the confidence and skill set of new pilots stepping into high-tech cockpits? Would love to hear what you all think!
