Hey everyone, just read about a big bump in flight capacity this February 2026. OAG says it's partly because of the Chinese New Year, which is bringing more flights than usual, and there's also been a rise in tourism and business travel to Africa.
Pretty cool to see this kind of growth, especially in regions like Africa where aviation's been expanding lately. I think it's great they're getting more attention and flights. Makes you wonder how this will affect ticket prices and airport congestion though.
Anyone else think this could be a sign of more permanent changes in global travel patterns? Or is it just a one-off thing because of the holiday and specific regional boosts? Curious to hear what you all think. Cheers!
