Air Cairo Adding Two More A320s - Thoughts?

Started by BoardingSIN25 2 hours ago 1 replies 20 views
So, Air Cairo is wet leasing a couple more A320s. I think this is a pretty interesting move. They're expanding their fleet with these two aircraft, which could mean they're looking to up their game a bit. Wet leasing usually means they're getting not just the planes but the crew and maintenance too. Makes me wonder if they're trying to quickly boost capacity for a busy season or maybe tap into some new routes without the long-term commitment of buying or leasing dry.

I don't have a subscription to get all the details, but from what I know, Air Cairo has been pretty active in the charter space. These A320s could help them with that or maybe even with some scheduled services.

Anyone else think this is a sign of them trying to expand more aggressively? Or is this more about meeting short-term demand? Also, do you think wet leasing is the way to go in this situation, or should they be looking at other options? Interested to hear what you guys think about this move from Air Cairo!
