Hey everyone, just saw that Boeing is on a hiring spree, bringing on up to 140 new folks a week! This is happening just a couple of years after they had to do all those layoffs. Seems like they're ramping up production for the 737, 787, and 777. I guess with more people retiring, plus the demand for new planes going up, they need more hands on deck.
I think it's pretty wild how quickly things can change in this industry. Like, one minute you're cutting jobs and the next you're hiring like crazy. Makes you wonder how stable these jobs are long-term, though - is this just a temporary thing to catch up with demand, or is Boeing betting on sustained growth?
Also, what do you all think this means for the whole aviation market? Are we looking at a real recovery, or is this just Boeing trying to keep up with orders they couldn't fill before? Interested to hear what you guys think!
