Jeju Air Hits Pause on IT Unit Sale - What's Going On?

Started by Charles737 3 hours ago 1 replies 18 views
So, Jeju Air has decided to delay the sale of its IT unit, which was supposed to bring in about $30 million. I'm curious about why they hit the brakes on this one. Not a ton of details since the full article's behind a paywall, but I'm guessing it could be due to market conditions or maybe they're re-evaluating their strategy?

From what I know, Jeju Air has been dealing with the same pandemic-related struggles as other airlines, so it makes sense they'd want to be cautious. But isn't it a bit risky to hold onto an asset you planned to sell?

What do you guys think this means for Jeju Air's future plans? Do you think they're reassessing their priorities, or is it just a temporary hiccup? Also, how critical do you think IT operations are for an airline like Jeju? I mean, tech is pretty huge in aviation, but $30 million is a decent chunk of change that could be used elsewhere.

Would love to hear your thoughts!
