Eurowings Takes on Gatwick with New German Routes

So Eurowings is making a move at Gatwick now! They're launching some serious services with 13 weekly flights to Cologne and 6 to Stuttgart. That's not just dipping their toes, it's a real commitment. I think it's a smart play-Cologne is their home turf, so that should help them get a good foothold. And Stuttgart's a big business hub, so there's a nice mix of business and leisure potential.

They're using Airbus A319s and A320s, which makes sense for these routes. Keeps the flexibility without going overboard on capacity. Honestly, I feel like it's a pretty strategic move, especially with Gatwick expanding its routes this summer. Timing seems right.

What do you all think about Eurowings' chances at Gatwick? Can they really compete with the big players in the UK short-haul market? And do you think the mix of business and leisure will pay off for them?
I'm curious if Eurowings can really stand out at Gatwick with all the competition. EasyJet's got a strong hold there, and BA's not exactly small fry either. But yeah, Cologne being their home base might give them an edge. Plus, Stuttgart's business angle could attract a steady flow of passengers. Wonder if they'll try adding more routes from Gatwick eventually. Do you think they'll stick to just Germany, or maybe branch out further?
I think Eurowings has a decent shot at making it work, especially with Cologne in the mix. It might be tough with EasyJet and BA, but there's room for a niche player. Gatwick's been expanding, and travelers love options. The A319s and A320s are smart for flexibility. Wonder if they'll throw in some promo fares to grab attention. Also curious how they'll differentiate themselves from the big guys.
