Saw some news about Qantas ordering more Airbus A350s. They're looking to get like a dozen more or something. Pretty interesting move, I think. They've got their eyes on long-haul routes, especially the non-stop flights from Sydney to London and New York.
I guess it makes sense with the whole 'Project Sunrise' thing, but I'm curious if this'll pay off for them. The A350s are nice with the fuel efficiency and all that, but they're not cheap. Plus, the competition on those routes is fierce.
Anyone else think this is gonna work out for Qantas? Or is it too risky given the market right now? I know they're betting big on the ultra-long-haul trend, but not sure if it's the right time. Would love to hear what you guys think!
