Are vintage airline postcards worth collecting?

Started by TheJetFan 2 hours ago 2 replies 7 views
So, I was cleaning out my grandparents' attic and stumbled across a box full of old airline postcards. Most of them are from the 50s and 60s, featuring airlines like TWA, Pan Am, and BOAC. They're in pretty good condition, with some really cool artwork and photos of aircraft and destinations.

I'm not really a collector (yet), but these postcards got me curious. Does anyone else collect these? Are they worth anything, or is it more about the nostalgia? I think they're pretty neat, but I'm not sure if I should hold onto them or if there's a market for trading or selling. Also, any tips on how to store them properly so they don't get damaged? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I've got a small collection myself, and those old airline postcards are definitely cool. They capture a bit of aviation history, like when flying was seen as glamorous. Value-wise, some can be collectible, especially if they're rare or in mint condition, but it's usually more about the nostalgia. For storing, keep them in acid-free sleeves or albums to prevent fading or damage. If you're thinking about selling, check out sites like eBay to get an idea of their value. But honestly, if you think they're neat, they're worth keeping!
