So, Lufthansa just placed an order for ten Airbus A350-1000s, and I'm kind of excited about it. Seems like they're really going all-in on modernizing their fleet. I mean, they've already got the A350-900s, but the -1000 is a bit of a step up, right? More capacity, more range... definitely a good move for long-haul routes.
I think it's interesting because Lufthansa's been pretty loyal to Boeing with their 747s and 777s. But it looks like they're shifting gears a bit towards Airbus for these newer wide-bodies. Wonder if we'll see more airlines doing the same?
Anyway, what do you guys think? Is this going to give them an edge on transatlantic routes or maybe even into Asia? And do you think the A350-1000 will eventually replace some of their older aircraft like the 747-8s or A340s? Curious to hear your thoughts!
