Norwegian's Shift to 737 MAX - Smart Move?

Started by AFArrival32 1 hours ago 1 replies 30 views
So, Norwegian Air Shuttle just got their first 737 MAX 8, and they plan on adding more to phase out their older 737-800s. I'm curious what you all think about this move. I mean, the MAX has had its ups and downs, but it seems like airlines are warming up to it again.

Norwegian's been through a lot financially, so I guess the fuel efficiency and range of the MAX could help them save some cash and expand routes. They've been eyeing more transatlantic flights, and the MAX seems perfect for that. But with all the competition in the low-cost transatlantic market, I'm not sure if it's enough to give them an edge.

Anyway, do you think sticking with Boeing and going for the MAX is going to pay off for them? Or should they have considered something else like the A321LR? Would love to hear your thoughts!
