Indonesia's Domestic Fare Tax Relief - What Do You Think?

So, I just found out that Indonesia is rolling out some tax relief on domestic flight fares. I think this could be a game-changer for travelers within the country. Airlines could see more passengers now, especially with people looking for cheaper travel options. I guess this might help boost local tourism too.

I wonder how this will affect their aviation market overall. Are we going to see a surge in domestic travel, or will it just be a temporary bump? Also, what do you guys think this means for airlines operating in Indonesia? Will they pass on the savings to passengers, or could they just hold on to the extra cash?

It's pretty cool that they're trying to make flying more affordable, especially after the rough years the industry had. But I'm curious if this kind of relief will actually lead to more flights or if it's just a financial band-aid.

What's your take on this? Do you think other countries should try something like this to boost their aviation sectors?
I'm curious how much of the savings will actually get to the passengers. Airlines might pocket a chunk to recover from recent losses. But if fares do drop, it could really get more folks flying domestically. Indonesia's got some amazing spots that more people should visit. Not sure how long-term this will be, though. It might just boost travel temporarily unless other factors like infrastructure improve too. Wonder if countries with similar tourism potential, like Thailand or Vietnam, will look into something like this.
